Disability Culture Rap video (about 22 minutes), from the year 2000
I'm still working on my post about how "Queer" and "Disabled" intersect and influence each other for me, personally. But this film, written, narrated and performed by Cheryl Marie Wade (1948-2013), is one of the best demonstrations of how the struggles of the queers and the cripples reflect each other, within the culture overall.
All the trigger warnings in the tags are for the fact that the rap is about the history of disabled people and our struggles, so they all come up. But the overall tone is triumphant. And there are swear words It has open captions in English.
