Thursday Recs
Welcome back to Thursday Recs!
Do you have a rec for this week? Just reply to this post with something queer or queer-adjacent (such as, soap made by a queer person that isn't necessarily queer themed) that you'd, well, recommend. Self-recs are welcome, as are recs for fandom-related content!
Or have you tried something that's been recced here? Do you have your own report to share about it? I'd love to hear about it!

I have discovered Canadian writer Ivan E Coyote, and am reading their book Bow Grip. Multiple queer characters. Mostly all good, but there has been the occasional bit of homophobic behaviour on the part of very minor characters. Also, it is at the slightly gritty end of contemporary literature, so there are a number of characters just getting on with their lives in shitty situations.

Ooh. This was their first novel, from 2006, so I haven't gone out to see what they've done since. I will see about getting hold of that.
Also, I've finished Bow Grip and it was a very satisfying read - a gentle slice of life story, which comes to a tidy stopping point.
