masa tortillas aren't too hard to make! Only two ingredients and the dough is very easy to work with (though you do have to get ahold of some masa first, which might be difficult in some places)

cooking for one is definitely less fun than cooking for/with others, but it can have it's own joys as well

It takes a bit of practice to learn to roll them out right, but the slightly too thick/thin ones are still pretty decent, and the basic dough is just 'take some masa, add water a bit at a time until it's wet enough to stick to itself but not your hands'. If you end up making them, let me know how they come out!

Not sure how large your pickles jar is but we've always kept our starter in a pint sized canning jar (~450 g) which has worked just fine

I am just hand sewing as I don't have a machine. I have only made masks so far & I just measured the fabric directly. No paper pattern just a blog to follow.

I didnt have elastic so I just used scrap cloth to make ties. Not the best looking but they work.
