This week I'm recommending a webcomic, but with a heap of warnings and disclaimers.
Awful Hospital is the story of a young mother who is trapped in the hospital dimension and is trying to find and possibly rescue her mysteriously ill infant son. There's a colorful cast of characters that range from a (literally and figuratively) crooked spine, to a human-shaped stain, to a giant bactereophage, and more. The main character herself is aromantic, and two of the female characters she meets end up in a romantic relationship with each other as well.
That said, there is a fair amount to warn for! If (cartoony) blood, guts, medical trauma, medical abuse, child illness and endangerment, unsanitary situations, some unreality, and general existential horror/weirdness (among other things) are squicks or triggers for you, you may want to give it a miss. It's also presented in the style popularized by Homestuck, so it's not very accessible, either, and a few flash animations that were included early in the comic are now completely broken. The comic still somehow manages to be wholesome and fun as opposed to gritty and depressing, but I fully understand that it's not for everyone.

Also this is a reminder for myself/opportunity to guilt me about not having rec'd a smutty original fiction series I have been meaning to rec here. I'll try to remember to make a properly-locked-down post about it this weekend.

Date: 2023-02-10 05:15 am (UTC)the second thing about title character number one (there's two characters named Yuri, this is the Japanese one, the one with black hair in the opening sequence; Russian Yuri is the one with gold hair) that gets the attention of his love interest (Viktor, silver hair) is a video of Yuri, just for the fun of it, skating one of Viktor's old figure skating routines; Viktor then choreographs him another routine to a musical arrangement named Eros
it gets sweeter from there; it does not get more subtle
(content notes: fatphobia, alcohol, anxiety not always handled as well as it could be, multiple emotionally significant instances of full rear nudity. well, rear from the audience's viewing angle…)
